The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel

The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel

The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel

At its core, the framework proposes that orientation is the first visible stage of intentional change.

Ritual Magic / Ceremonial Frameworks

Most ceremonial frameworks tell you what to do but leave unanswered the question: what is the internal pre-ritual state that determines whether the operation has any chance of success? Systems like the LBRP, invocation frameworks, or general sigil mechanics assume desire is sufficient intent. The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel answers this by placing the entire causal sequence — Lack, Desire, Want, Choice, Selection — before any ritual act begins, making the internal state a structural prerequisite rather than a vague recommendation.

Alchemical / Hermetic Cycle Models

Traditional alchemical models (Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, Rubedo) map transformation through stages but do not account for what selects the prima materia in the first place — why one operation, one possibility, one work is chosen over another. They also offer no structured mechanism for failure, resistance, and testing as mandatory structural phases rather than signs of error. The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel formalizes Challenge as an unavoidable pillar and Stabilization as the lawful recovery from it, treating ordeal as proof of structural integrity rather than a deviation.

The Law of Attraction / The Secret

The core unanswered question the Law of Attraction leaves open is: why does intense wanting so often fail to produce results? LoA operates on a binary of Want → Get, treating emotional desire and positive thought as sufficient causes for manifestation. It has no mechanism that explains selection — how one specific possibility gets locked in from the infinite field — and it cannot account for why obsessive wanting frequently repels outcomes rather than attracting them. The 9 Pillars of Orientation Wheel answers this directly by separating Want from Choice, showing that Want without Choice produces no stable vector and will collapse at the first structural resistance.

A Framework for Conscious Participation, Direction, and Transformation

Every action begins with a direction.

Before movement can occur, direction must exist.
Before manifestation can occur, selection must occur.

Rather than focusing exclusively on manifestation, the system examines the entire cycle of becoming:

Potential → Orientation → Commitment → Manifestation → Expansion → Challenge → Stabilization → Dissolution → Integration → Return

Before orientation can occur, a hidden process unfolds involving:

• Lack
• Desire
• Want
• Choice
• Selection

The system’s central question is:

Why do some possibilities become reality while countless others remain unrealized?

The Orientation Wheel proposes that conscious participation is shaped by the interaction between Want and Choice. When these forces converge, Selection occurs and direction emerges.

The 9 Pillars

The 9 Pillars

1. Potential

The field of unrealized possibilities.

2. Orientation

The first visible alignment toward a selected possibility.

3. Commitment

The threshold where observation becomes participation.

4. Manifestation

The emergence of form through action and expression.

5. Expansion

Growth, momentum, and increasing influence.

6. Challenge

Testing, resistance, consequence, and pressure.

7. Stabilization

Recovery, consolidation, and sustainable continuity.

8. Dissolution

Release, transformation, and the loosening of fixed forms.

9. Integration

The assimilation of experience into understanding.

The cycle concludes with a return to potential carrying altered capacity gained through experience.

Current Status

The Orientation Wheel is currently undergoing practitioner field testing.

The objective is not to prove a belief system, but to evaluate a framework.

Areas of investigation include:

• The distinction between Want and Choice.
• The Selection process.
• Orientation and commitment.
• The role of Challenge within magical work.
• The influence of Interpretation on future outcomes.
• The practical value of the Wheel as a working model.

Practitioner Field Test Program

I am currently accepting applications from practitioners interested in helping test and evaluate the system.

Participants may receive:

• The complete Orientation Wheel document.
• Practitioner log materials.
• Audio pronunciation guide.
• Testing protocols.
• Feedback materials.

Honest criticism is encouraged.

Positive results, negative results, confusion, failure points, and contradictions are all valuable data.

The purpose of this project is refinement through testing rather than recruitment or conversion.

Apply to Participate

If you are interested in participating in the field test, complete the application form below.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Thank you to everyone willing to help evaluate and improve the system.
