A Lifelong Calling
I am Bran Alder (the professional name of John M. Meehan), founder and sole practitioner of SCG Witchery. I began studying the occult at age 14 and entered public professional practice in 2007. My practice draws on decades of study and experience across ceremonial magic, folk traditions, and other esoteric disciplines. I emphasize careful assessment, appropriate ritual methods, and clear communication about the limits of what any practitioner can promise.

At SCG Witchery, I bring together professional ritual practice, occult education, and careful assessment of spiritual-service claims. My purpose is to provide transparent information, individualized services, and practical resources that help clients make informed decisions. Professional accountability and honest representation of ritual work remain central to that mission.
Our Promise
SCG Witchery is guided by three core principles.
Verification: Our Spellcaster Verification service assesses available evidence and practitioner claims to help clients recognize warning signs and make informed decisions.
Education: I share occult knowledge and educational resources to encourage informed study, practical understanding, and independent judgment.
Provision: I offer selected ritual materials and custom-blended items to support individual workings and personal practice.

A Foundation of Professional Experience
My public professional practice began in 2007. The following records cover three periods of client engagements. Historical outcomes do not guarantee future results:
- Period 1 (2007 – April 2024): Of 2,703 recorded engagements, 2,191 were assessed as successful (81.06%).
- Period 2 (April 2024 – May 2025): Of 422 recorded engagements, 396 were assessed as successful (93.84%).
- Period 3 (May 27, 2025 – May 30, 2026): Of 291 recorded engagements, 276 were assessed as successful (94.85%). Across all three periods, 2,863 of 3,416 engagements were recorded as successful (83.81%). Historical outcomes do not guarantee future results.
A Renewed Commitment to Practitioner Accountability
In April 2024, I took a professional sabbatical to further develop my approach to practitioner verification and client protection. Experiences during this period reinforced the importance of transparency, accountability, and independent assessment within the occult-services industry. These principles continue to guide SCG Witchery’s educational resources and spellcaster verification work.
